The knight and the magic egg

After reading the tale The Knight and the Magic Egg and answering a few comprehension questions to support the game, the class is divided into 2 teams to face the challenges of the story. In order to find the magic egg, they have to find 6 keys. The children will face an obstacle course and will have to use their observation, agility and attention.

This first cycle activity has the following educational objectives: to encourage action, expression and understanding through physical activity; to experiment orientation to develop motor skills and observation; to work as a team.

Animals in the Middle Ages

In a treasure hunt around the Castle, the children will discover the importance of animals and their place in medieval society. To discover the identity of each of these animals, they will have to solve riddles and complete a series of challenges. The aim of this workshop is to master the concepts of passive and active, prey and predator, using games and fun materials. Observation, imagination, teamwork and reflection will be essential tools.

This second cycle activity has the following educational objectives: to use language in all its dimensions; to encourage action, expression and understanding through physical and artistic activities; to experiment orientation; to acquire the notions of passive and active.

Cash and coins - here's your change!

The Princes of Sedan had the privilege of minting coins, a privilege normally reserved for the King of France. How were coins made? When did the first coins appear? In the form of a life-size board game, children will have to work in teams to answer questions about money in the Middle Ages. They have to reach the end of their journey with as much money as possible.

Memory, observation, curiosity and teamwork are needed to complete the quest.
