600 years of history

A complete tour of the castle. Accompanied by one of our mediators, you begin with a tour focusing on the exceptional architecture of the fortress. This tour will take you to discover the bastions, ramparts, battlements and the many techniques and tricks that have made the castle an impregnable fortress.

The tour then takes you to the Galerie des Princes, where you are expected to attend the wedding banquet of Princess Charlotte and Henri de la Tour d’Auvergne. The date is 15 October 1591, and you are invited to attend.

The tour ends with a visit to the Sedan City Museum, which has an impressive collection that traces the history of the city up to the battle of 1870.

Come and visit the castle at nightfall by torchlight. With one of our guides, you can discover the many events and anecdotes that have marked the fortress over the centuries!

Try your hand at medieval artillery with our costumed facilitator and fire a trebuchet at a target castle.

Enter a real medieval camp and accompany the Lord de La Marck on one of his military campaigns! An armourer’s shop displays weapons and armours from the Middle Ages. Enter the intimacy of the lord by visiting his tent, furnished with taste and splendour.
